After this magnificent win against old adversaries Wolves I find it impossible not to comment. I had thought it best to keep stum this season but like a seductive honeypot this wonderful football club lures you back in, not that I'd ever been away. I've watched nearly every game this season and started to think maybe being a yo yo club is not such a bad thing as it's becoming clearer by each game we're going to be there or there abouts come the end of the season. This game was the real test and boy did we pass with flying colours tonight. The team this year is just that, a team, a bunch of players prepared to fight back and get back where we maybe belong, with the big boys, and that's what's given us such wonderful times in recent years, no prima dona's, just a great team working their socks off and playing for each other. Sir Steve has made a couple of shrewd signings and things are looking good, long way to go, but after last season, what a great feeling tonight and like most of this season, and you know what, we're all having fun again!! UURRRZZZ

Great result which I hadn’t seen coming, so well done lads! We’ll look at the usual suspects to praise but here’s a thought – since we lost Sidwell we’ve slid, has the return of Gunarsson been the one we’ve missed to fill that gap, adding some iron and calm to the midfield. Let’s hope the roll we’re on carries on against Burnley.

Reading have been in superb form at the Madejski Stadium, romping to four successive victories and scoring 16 goals in the process, but last night, albeit in different circumstances, they finally extended such prolificness away from home... Even before Wolves’ latest injuries, Reading were in penetrative form, unfortunate not to double their advantage in the 32nd minute, when Kevin Foley cleared off the line after Noel Hunt dived to head his brother’s cross from the right wing beyond Hennessey. Reading may have lost their place in the Barclays Premier League this year, but they have not misplaced their trademark passing style. Wolves, missing Kightly’s vitality, looked vulnerable at the start of the second half and Reading could scarcely believe that they did not score again in the 56th minute. From Stephen Hunt’s corner, Jimmy Kébé shot against a post and Doyle pulled the ball back for Ivar Ingimarsson. The former Wolves defender’s shot was brilliantly stopped by the feet of Hennessey. Reading’s first away league win since a futile 4-0 romp over Derby County on the final day of last season was secured 19 minutes from time courtesy of a superb move. André Bikey, having performed heroically in keeping Sylvan Ebanks-Blake quiet, was still up in the opposing penalty area when Brynjar Gunnarsson slid in a pass for Kébé to cross in for the Cameroon defender to head home.

Reading handed league leaders Wolves their first defeat of the season with a commanding display at Molineux. Returning Wolves keeper Wayne Hennessey made a hash of a Stephen Hunt corner under pressure from Kevin Doyle to put through his own net. Andre Bikey doubled their lead with a header from a Jimmy Kebe cross. Shane Long set up the third goal three minutes after coming off the bench, with fellow substitute Kalifa Cisse completing the scoring.
