Late Le Fondre Goal Steals Win

Adam Le Fondre stole a win for Reading against Brian McDermott's Leeds United, with a late goal deep into injury time.
Le Fondre's headed goal, in the 96th minute from Drenthe's free-kick, was the last action of the game. It was tough luck for McDermott who looked set to collect a point
on his return and might have seen his side snatch the win themselves just a minute earlier. Leeds won a free-kick that was met with a header which should have found the target but
went wide of the left post. That was lucky for the Royals, but they got luckier when the referee allowed play to continue giving Reading enough time to flood forward and win the vital free-kick
that was earnt when Warnock was given his marching orders for a second booking.
It wasn't all good news for Reading though. Jem Karacan was stretchered off inside the opening ten minutes after making a poor challenge. The incident itself didn't look serious
but Karacan's reaction on the pitch did. The game itself was mostly incident free. It was a tough encounter with plenty of strong challenges and a serious lack of space as two sides
continually chasing down the ball cancelled each other out. Reading had the better of the chances and the better of the game with Guthrie outstanding in midfield but the game seemed set to finish
0-0 until the dramatic finish.
