Three More For Le Fondre As Blackpool Thrashed
29 January 2014

Adam Le Fondre made it consecutive home hat-tricks as his three goals helped Reading on their way to another big home win the Championship.
Following on from the 7-1 demolition of Bolton Wanderers, Reading made it 12 goals in two home league games with a 5-1 thrashing of Blackpool. After the defeat at Ipswich on Saturday, this
latest win made it 9 points from a possible 12 as Reading at last show signs of being real play-off contenders. It will be very interesting to see if Reading can avoid defeat at Millwall this coming
weekend, put together a run, and try and take the amazing home form on the road.
Reading looked a good side in all areas, but it was once again the clinical finishing that really set the
two sides apart. Le Fondre will grab all the headlines for three very well taken goals, that will push his price tag up ahead of the closure of the transfer window, but several players
impressed. McCleary looked dangerous every time he got the ball while McAnuff appears to be a massively improved player. Pogrebnyak's excellent season continued after he hit the third goal
to make it 3-0 after Reading had led by two goals at half time. The visitors pulled it back to 3-1 before Le Fondre immediately restored the advantage. Robson-Kanu replaced Le Fondre with 16
minutes left to play and hit Reading's fifth with 82 mintues on the clock to wrap up a comprehensive victory.
