Reading Eventually Win At Home

Reading finally won a game at home - on the eighth attempt - to keep hopes of finishing in the play-offs alive. The Royals were 2-0 winners over Middlesbrough thanks to a superb
start that saw them race into a two goal lead within the opening 14 minutes. Adam Le Fondre was back in the starting line-up and set Reading on their way with a goal after just nine minutes,
scoring from close range after good work from Obita with the initial cross. Obita was also responsible for the second five minutes later when his free kick took a deflection and ended up in
the back of the net. The tempo eased off at times but it remained a determined performance from Reading who clearly aren't so keen on giving up on the play-offs after all.
The Royals moved back up to sixth with equal games played. Two wins for Reading will now guarantee a top six finish and a shot at promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.
