Reading Look To Forget Away Defeats

Reading return to home this Sunday as Wolves visit the Madejski Stadium. The Royals will be looking to put a disappointing week on the road behind them as they
look to bounce back after two straight defeats. Last weekend the Royals were 0-1 losers at Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship
and they followed it up with a 0-2 defeat at Derby County as they limped out of the League Cup. Before that Reading had enjoyed their best spell of the season
with four straight wins. That was followed by the news that the takeover
by the Thai consortium had finally officially completed after many months of speculation.
The exact shape of the new ownership still appears to be a bit sketchy, but the official Thai additions to the board of directors is as follows: Khunying Sasima Srivikorn, Mr Narin Niruttinanon, Mr Sumrith Thanakarnjanasuth, Mr Taweesuk Srisumrid, and Mr Theekharoj Piamphongsarn. Those five join John Madejski, Nigel Howe and Ian Michael Wood Smith who remain on the board of Reading Football Club. Samrit Bunditkitsada is not a director and has not bought into the club despite all his involvement in the takeover discussions. Narin Niruttinanon has 50 percent ownership of the club with Sumrith Thanakarnjanasuth and Khunying Sasima Srivikornboth both buying 25 percent.
In what will now be a very busy board room, the Thai group are sure to have their work cut out paying off debts while being expected to spend on the team before the next
transfer window ends. Despite the new ownership, the two recent defeats saw Reading fail to find the back of the net as further injuries saw Reading forced to make a number of new
changes to the starting eleven.
Injury problems will continue to play a major part in Nigel Adkins team selection as third placed Wolves visit in what is expected to be a very tough fixture.
Wolves are one point off the top of the Championship table and are unbeaten in six games having picked up a win and two draws in their last three away games. In
Reading's favour, Wolves have scored just two goals in their last three games while Reading have hit three thanks to their 3-2 win against Millwall in their last home
games. Reading will be hoping to contine their home form which has seen four wins and a single defeat in all competitions at the Madejski.
Recently we've enjoyed playing Wolves, although this will be our first encounter since the 2008/2009 season. That term the Royals picked up two wins 1-0 at home and 3-0
away to get the full six points.
