Kebe's Turn For The Late Winner

And so it goes on... another late goal gave Reading the full three points instead of just the one - and continued the Royals amazing run of form. This time it was the turn of Jimmy Kebe to score two goals to seal a vital 2-1 victory over Sunderland and move Reading two points clear of the bottom three. Unlike previous games, Kebe's goals came at either end of the game - with an equaliser from the penalty spot on half an hour squeezed in the middle.

Kebe's first was on seven minutes to give a hint that Reading wouldn't need their now famous late goals to win the game. Sunderland deserved a goal to pull level when Pogrebnyak clearly fouled inside the area - and the game swung both ways with Federici again in fine form to keep the scores level. Le Fondre came off the bench on 65 minutes and the game was all set up for another dramatic finish. He was followed by Nick Blackman who was given a debut of 18 minutes - and it was Blackman who played a vital role in winning a free-kick with five minutes to play. Ian Harte swung the free-kick in and Jimmy Kebe met it to head home the winner in true Reading 2013 style. The Royals' climb up the table continues - and seems to be picking up pace.
