Reading's season so far has been all about the home league form. At the Madejski we're undefeated in six games with four wins and two draws. Those six games have seen the Royals hit 12 goals and concede just five. Last weekend saw one of the most convincing wins of the season so far as Doncaster Rovers left the Madejski after a 4-1 defeat thanks to goals from Guthrie, Le Fondre, McCleary, Pogrebnyak. Reading are starting to look a settled side after an up and down start to the season. Guthrie and Pogrebnyak have been excellent and have been rewarded with recent goals, while Adam Le Fondre is up to five goals already this term. This weekend's visitors are Millwall, and they look to have a tough job ahead of them if they want to pick up only their second away win of the season.
While Reading's win took them up to sixth place - back inside the play-off places - Millwall picked up a home draw against QPR last weekend and sit in 18th place, four points outside the bottom three. Reading are undefeated against Millwall in our last seven meetings (five wins for Reading and two draws). The Royals had also won five consecutive home games against Millwall until their last visit to Reading saw them leave with a point after a 2-2 draw two years ago. Manset scored both Reading's goals on that day, which was the opening game of the 2011/2012 season. Reading's last home defeat to Millwall was in Division Two in 2001. A last minute Jamie Cureton goal couldn't rescue Reading from that defeat in front of a huge crowd for the time of nearly 15,000. Reading have come a long way since that day and will be looking for another home win that could take us up to fourth place.
The Royals still have injury concerns ahead of the game. Adam Federici could be set to continue in goal after making his first league appearance of the season last weekend, with Alex McCarthy still recovering from a knee injury. Drenthe, Williams and Sharp could all miss out once again.
