Hal Robson-Kanu and Chris Gunter enjoyed a successful night this evening on International duty for Wales as they ran out 2-1 winners against Cyprus. Wales remain top of their Euro 2016 qualifying group after picking up two wins and a draw from their opening three matches. Hal Robson-Kanu scored the vital goal for Wales when he was set up by Gareth Bale, the world's most expensive footballer, and finished well. His goal made it 2-0 to Wales with 23 minutes played.

Cyprus pulled a goal back before half time but were unable to equalise despite Wales playing nearly the entire second half with ten men after Andy King was sent off. There was more Reading interest to come as Jake Taylor become the third Reading player involved as he replaced Robson-Kanu, to make his International debut, with six minutes left to play.

Gunter also played the full ninety minutes on Friday as Wales drew 0-0 with Bosnia at home. Robson-Kanu played the last twenty five minutes of that fixture. The Royals were well represented over the International weekend with Oliver Norwood having an excellent game for Northern Ireland on Saturday. Norwood also played the whole game and nearly scored a third goal before half time with an impressive long range effort that saw the Faroe Islands goalkeeper push his effort onto the post. Northern Ireland couldn't add any more but still were 2-0 winners and are, like Wales and England, top of their Euro 2016 qualifying group. Northern Ireland travel to Greece tomorrow night as they attempt to take a big step towards qualification.

Reading's International players will be back on duty for Reading on Saturday as the Royals resume their Championship campaign. Fourth placed Derby County, who are just a point off the top of the table, visit the Madejski Stadium as Reading look to end a run of five games without victory.
