Third Draw As Blackburn Game Ends Goalless

Reading again failed to win in the Championship, but their third consecutive league draw was probably enough to all but secure another season in the second tier. With teams below Reading continuing to struggle it is now extremely unlikely that Reading could drop into the bottom three without a huge turnaround in the fortunes of the teams at the foot of the table. Reading were never likely to lose against Blackburn after dominating the game but failing to convert their chances. The 0-0 draw wasn't massively high on entertainment but Reading looked solid and comfortable without ever really seeming to hit top gear.
