Karacan Is Unused Sub In Hungary

Jem Karacan was an unused substitute tonight for Turkey as they were defeated 1-3 in their World Cup qualifier against Hungary. Karacan will have to wait before making his International debut but seems set to feature for his country after winning his first call up into the squad. Turkey's next World Cup qualifier isn't until March 2013 when they face Andorra and the return match against Hungary. That gives Jem plenty of time to impress for the Royals and earn an International appearance or two.

Although Reading remain at the wrong end of the Premier League table without a League win, it's not been a bad start to the season for Karacan after recovering from last April's injury. He missed the first game of the season against Stoke but has featured in every game since - apart from failing to get off the bench against West Brom.
