It was yet another disappointing afternoon for the Royals as they failed to secure a Premier League win at the tenth time of asking. The only difference with this latest draw was Reading failed to take the lead first. Instead the Royals failed to score all game, and the positive point will be recording the first clean sheet of the entire season as far. Federici will be happy to make his return and pick up that statistic but in truth Norwich entirely failed to test him.
This was a poor afternoon's entertainment for both sets of fans, with Norwich happy to frustrate Reading and take the point and Reading short of ideas on how to make a breakthrough. The only real chance of the first half saw McCleary have his effort well saved. Reading were marginally improved in the second half but there was still little action of note. Any rare attempt on goal was high or wide or both, with Kebe managing to hit the crossbar in one of the better chances.
