Joseph Mills has gone out on loan to Burnley after failing to make an impact on the side last season. Mills was a regular in the Royals side for the first couple of months of the season but then only managed to make two further appearances in the whole of 2012, making one start and one appearance off the bench. With Reading's recent activity in the transfer market snapping up some talented defenders Mills chances of getting in the side seem very limited. However, Reading FC clearly can see potential in the player, who has age on his side, after recently extending his contract at the club to run until 2014. Perhaps a successful spell at Burnley will increase his value and at the very least see the Royals cash in.
