Reading started their pre-season tour of Portugal with a 1-1 draw against lower league side CDR Quarteirense this weekend. Harte scored the only Reading goal from a traditional free kick to put Reading ahead before the home side leveled. In a match described as low-key, the Royals switched most of the side at half time to give the majority of the squad a run out. The only worry was Jimmy Kebe having to limp off early in the first half with a suspected hamstring problem.

Reading team: Andersen, Cummings, Shorey, Mariappa, Pearce, Guthrie, Leigertwood, Kebe, Robson-Kanu, Antonio, Roberts, Obita.
Second half: Andersen; Gunnarsson, Harte, Gorkss, Morrison; McAnuff, Tabb, McCleary, Obita; Hunt, Le Fondre, Henly.
