Team news |
Reading will probably field Murty in the starting eleven in place of
Andy Gurney who put in a poor performance at Northampton. Also new signing
Jamie Cureton could find himself making a start on his home debut for
the Royals. |
Predictions | Stoke City find themselves in a similar position to
Reading at the moment. A stadium ready for higher division football and
a couple of years of underachievement in their quest to return to Division
One. Like Reading they expect to go up this season. Also like Reading that
maybe harder than they think - yet again. So far Stoke have lost and drawn at home but put in two impressive away wins already - in the league at Bristol City (winning 2-1) and in the league cup at York City (an impressive 5-1 victory). So form would suggest they should give Reading a tough fight at the Madejski Stadium. However their 0-1 defeat against Notts County on Saturday should give Reading more than a bit of hope. Reading may have lost their two away league games so far, but the stuffing of Swindon at home just over a week ago was an excellent result. Lets hope that we can make the Madejski Stadium something of a fortress this season. Saturday's defeat at Northampton still provided some bright signs for Reading so there's no reason why we can't beat Stoke City under the Madejski Stadium floodlights on Tuesday night. A narrow victory for Reading, but an important three points. |
